The range of reasons that causes people to lose their hair is vast. There are a number of different theories surrounding hair loss many of which relate to sexual selection and although there is no comprehensive answer to why people lose their hair there appears to be a strong correlation between the levels of testosterone that people produce and the levels and types of hair loss. In the majority of cases hair loss occurs after puberty and this seems to be the trend across all types of primates and humans of course fall under this category.
Whilst in Gorillas the bald members of the group are revered and preferred as sexual partners in humans there tends to be a negative association with baldness. This is especially the case for women that suffer hair loss. It tends to be a problem that affects women more acutely as there are less women that suffer hair loss than men and hair tends to be considered an important aspect of sexuality for women and is arguably more important to females than males. Hair loss can result from a wide variety of different causes.
Trichotillomania
Hair loss that occurs as a result of a person pulling out their own hair is called trichotillomania. Trichotillomania is a disease that is closely associated with impulse control disorders and is a condition in which a person is compelled to pull out their own hair. The disease is known as a psychological problem and causes people to pull out hair from all parts of the body including hair from the head, hair from the eyebrows, pubic hair and hair from all other parts of a person’s body.
People can suffer from the illness at any age but typically it affects people that are over twelve years old and can there are cases of people as old as seventy having the disorder. The positive thing about this type of hair loss is that if you can prevent the person pulling out their hair the prognosis is good. The hair is usually broken and the root generally stays intact which means that it can grow back if it is allowed to.
Radiation
People that are exposed to high levels of radiation often suffer from hair loss as the radiation can have a strong effect. The most prevalent form of hair loss from radiation is the hair loss that people experience as a result of radiation treatment for illnesses such as cancer. There is good news for people that experience hair loss as a result of radiation in that the hair can generally grow back effectively once the person has finished treatment.
The person will often experience irritation and will occasionally have sore spots on their head whilst treatment takes place but this usually dissipates once the treatment has ended and people can experience hair growth at a level that they experienced before treatment.
Fungal infection
Fungal infections are another common source of hair loss that affects a number of people. It occurs when the person in question comes into contact with yeast or a fungus that causes hair loss. Often this type of hair loss can be itchy and irritable and can be quite uncomfortable for the person that suffers. This type of hair loss occurs frequently with young children but the likelihood of the hair growing back once treatment is administered is high.

Take a random tween, age 8-12, place them in front of a rotary
phone and observe at the blank stare of bewilderment. Yes, gone
are the days of the landline, pushed aside by the next wave of
technological advancement. Mobile phones are fast displacing
landlines in many homes; accompanying this movement is the fact
kids regularly use and know how to use these cell phones. The
mobility of cell phones means you can be anywhere and have the
necessity, or should I say the convenience, of a phone.
Cellular service providers and manufacturers would enjoy nothing
more than exploiting the vastly untapped tween market. However,
is it necessary to provide cell phones to kids age 8-12? What
makes it necessary today? Is the simple the notion of having the
technology enough reason to equip younger and younger customers
with phones? Where do we draw the line when it comes to tweens
owning cell phones, and when should we be restricting
use? The remainder of this article will discuss the pros and
cons of purchasing cell phones for kids. It will discuss the
social aspects, health concerns, and cost issues.
Social and Cost Issues:
Weighing in at a paltry 56 grams, designed with a smaller frame
to accommodate smaller hands, measuring 88 x 44 x 20 mm, one of
the leading cell phones targeted exclusively towards the 8-12
market, the Firefly. It offers up to 2.5 hours of talk time, and
up to 100 hours of standby, basically it’s your bare bones cell
phone that permits parent’s to limit outgoing calls to certain
numbers and also sports ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ buttons for quick
dialling. The Firefly is marketed with such catch phrases as
“Parents of pre-teens understand that it’s time to start
loosening the reins and letting their kids travel unsupervised
to school, the library, or friends’ houses.”
Pro: Yes kids need a safety mechanism and having a cell phone
handy does provide added protection in the form of determining
whereabouts and phoning for help.
Con: Big safe mechanism, however, if any parent purchases a cell
phone for their kid using the catchy marketing ploy directed to
parents, ‘…start loosening the reins and let their kids travel
unsupervised,’ they have the wrong perception regarding the
purpose of a phone. Anybody who believes that providing a cell
phone to a child automatically provides them with responsibility
and ability to take care of themselves, when they were unable to
do so before a cell phone, are relying too heavily on
‘parenting by technology’. Be mindful of such reasoning when
thinking about buying a cell phone.
Con: Another item to consider, are we turning our kids into
internet and mobile phone junkies? One should question whether
connecting kids 24/7 to their friends via cell phone will
influence their social habits. Also, cell phones are quickly
becoming the norm and the fashion. Kids will demand to be hip
like their buddies from school who sport the latest cell phone,
or any cell phone for that matter. Parents will be pressed to
give in to ignescent demands of ‘everyone else has one’, or ‘I
want to be cool like the other kids’. Sure it may be good to
have your kid fit in, but since when is school primarily a
popularity contest? Furthermore, when does fitting in cost so
much?! The thing with cell phones is there are monthly costs
attached — not a one time sunk cost. Chances are you will pay
the monthly fees. Some options are available to have
‘pay-as-you-go’ options, you pay for whatever minutes you
purchase, however, either or, the more your kid talks on the
phone, the more you pay. Don’t forget too that cell phones are
more than phones. Almost all (the Firefly does not) have text
messaging and more complicated communication tools included that
have an attached cost as well. Boy, this is starting to get
expensive!
Health Issues:
The Firefly cell phone is designed to give the bare phone
essentials. However, this phone is a candybar style, which means
the antenna is located within the phone unit and does not
protrude out. This means cellular frequencies are closer to the
brain. The question now revolves around how early is too early
for exposing kids to cellular frequencies on a regular basis? On
one hand you don’t want to risk your child’s health, on the
other hand scientific research is still inconclusive when it
comes to cell phone ‘radiation’. The juror is still out on this
one, be your own judge regarding the health impacts.
There you have it, some helpful reminders to consider before
going out and dropping a couple hundred dollars and an
additional twenty per month, minimum, on a cell phone for
junior. One certainly cannot downplay the safety benefits, you
never know when it could save a life, however, at the same time,
there are many con items to consider before sending buying a a
cell phone for junior. One thing is for sure, the little handset
device will never replace supervision from an adult when
supervision is due.

Bluetooth Headsets have redefined the art of talking over the telephone. No wires, no hands, nothing at all! Just put the device on your ear and you are communicating at ease with the rest of the world. You have the flexibility to do anything while talking. Not only does this add to convenience, but you get to gain from a health perspective as well. This article tells you all about these advantages with Bluetooth Headsets.
Bluetooth Headsets-Reduce Health Risks
Research has proved that holding phones close to your ear (hence head) increases health risks. There is a possibility of developing brain tumors. Electromagnetic radiation emitted from cell phones affect the body’s cells, brain and immune system. A wide range of diseases, from cancer to Alzheimer’s, may develop due to such harmful exposures. Various experiments in Finland, Sweden and other places have confirmed these concerns.
Experiments conducted on mice have shown that harmful radiations from cell phones affect body cells and it is believed that the findings would also hold true for human beings as well. A group of scientists in Finland conducted a study and published a report in 2002 where they highlighted the negative effects of electromagnetic radiation emanating from phones on human brain tissue.
A similar study conducted in Sweden showed that the people using mobiles phones had a 30% higher probability of developing brain tumors compared to persons who preferred some other mode of communication. Considering these health risks, it is always advisable to keep the phone set away from your ear. Bluetooth Headsets can give you this unique advantage.
You may also sometimes get entangled in the wires of your telephone or run the risk of having an accident while driving and holding your mobile phone. This is very risky. A Bluetooth Headset is a hands-free, wire-free device that helps you to conveniently avoid all these risks.
Bluetooth Headsets-The Compatibility Factor
Setting new standards in wireless connectivity, Bluetooth Headsets have very high compatibility with a wide range of telecom appliances. You can connect different devices across diverse platforms by this. Two appliances enabled with this technology can access one another even when separated by about 30 feet. However, this varies with instruments and you must check the product specifications before buying the devices.
Differences with Wi-Fi
Both provide facilities of wireless networking using radio waves and are new-generation communication tools. But, there are some basic differences. Bluetooth is a short-range (30 feet), low power connectivity system with moderately fast transmission speeds of 800 kilobits per second. Developed in 1994, Bluetooth provides wireless, point-to-point connectivity for mobile phones, PDAs, Notebooks, Printers etc. If any two devices are Bluetooth enabled, a wireless connection can be set up between them for transfer of data. Say, if a PC and a Printer are Bluetooth enabled, you can transfer data from the computer to the printer without connecting through a cable.
Wi-Fi stands for Wireless Fidelity. Appearing in the market in late 1998, Wi-Fi provides access to Ethernet networks such as LAN, WAN or the Internet at super-fast speeds of up to 11 megabits per second. You can make connections with Wi-Fi networks even up to 300 feet. If your Notebook is Wi-Fi enabled, you can surf the Internet at broadband speed without cable connections.
Bluetooth Headsets—Well Known Brands
All well-known telecom manufacturers are marketing products enabled with this technology and Bluetooth Headsets are regular features with most top-end products.
The popular versions include:
- Samsung E770 Phone
- Motorola L7 Phone
- Motorola PEBL U6 Mobile Phone
- Sony Ericsson W900i Mobile Phone
- Nokia 6270 Mobile Phone
- I-mate SP5 Smartphone
- Nokia 6681 Tri-band Phone
- Samsung E530 Mobile Phone
Summary:
If you are thinking about the convenience of wire-free and hands-free communication and reduced health risks from exposures to harmful electromagnetic radiations from cell phones, Bluetooth Headsets are your best buy.

The issue of driving and cell phones has become a prominent
one. In the states of New York, New Jersey and D.C. as well as
in the province of Newfoundland, cell phone use while driving
has been banned. Do you think this is a good idea or not? Is
cellular phone use any more of a danger than eating or smoking
while driving? Both mobile phone users and non-users have a wide
variety of opinion on this matter. If you use a wireless phone,
keep in mind that cellular phone providers can offer you cell
phone accessories that eliminate the major reasons why wireless
phone use while driving is considered to be dangerous. The busy
person who spends a lot of time traveling (for example, a
salesperson) often has a valid reason for needing to use a cell
phone while in transit. You may simply be spending much more
time on the road than in the office. Hands-free headsets are an
excellent way of safely using a mobile phone while traveling.
Some wireless providers offer hands-free headsets as part of
their mobile phone deals. These days you can obtain free
cellular phones that offer voice recognition dialing. This makes
it easy to program your telephone with important numbers and
their associated names, and ensures that while driving you never
need to even touch or look at your cell phone. For the average
person who simply carries a mobile telephone for safety reasons,
extra cell phone accessories and features are not as necessary.
It can be assumed that in the case of an emergency, such a user
would pull off the road to use the mobile phone. If however, you
are someone who is using their cellular phone for business,
consulting with your wireless phone provider about the best
cellular phone accessories for your needs is recommended. This
site offers an extensive list of companies that can provide you
with free cell phone packages, cell phone accessories like
hands-free headsets, and virtually any other cellular phone
requirement you might have. Please take a look at them to find
exactly what you need!

As we get older our skin changes, and with those changes we wonder, What’s happening to my skin? As adults, we believe we shouldn’t be experiencing the torments of acne as we did as a teenager, or we notice brown spots that suddenly appear out of nowhere. We also worry about those days gone by when we used baby oil as tanning lotion. Here are the most common questions adults are asking their dermatologists.
Acne
Why am I experiencing acne now that I’m older?
Acne usually occurs on the face, neck, back, chest and shoulders. Adult acne is caused by a combination of several factors: hormones leading to excess oil secretion, faulty closing of the hair duct, and infection.
Acne develops when a sebaceous gland, which is connected to a pore and contains a fine hair, becomes blocked with sebum, an oily substance made by the sebaceous glands that normally empties onto the skin’s surface through the opening of the pore. If a pore becomes clogged and prevents the sebum from reaching the surface of the skin, bacteria that normally lives on the skin begins to grow in the pore. These bacteria produce chemicals and enzymes and attract white blood cells that cause inflammation. When the wall of the clogged pore breaks down sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria seep into the nearby skin, leading to pimples.
Here is a list of other situations that may cause a breakout:
1. Women: two to seven days before their menstrual period begins
2. Friction caused by leaning on or rubbing the skin
3. Pressure from bike helmets, backpacks, or tight collars
4. Environmental irritants, such as pollution and high humidity
5. Squeezing or picking at blemishes
6. Hard scrubbing of the skin
How can I treat my acne?
Although there are many remedies you can purchase at the local drugstore, consult your dermatologist first to determine what type of acne you have. He may then prescribe a medication specifically to meet your needs. The biggest breakthrough in acne treatment has been the development of topical retinoic acid, a form of vitamin A. Other acne products consist of the following ingredients:
1. Azelaic acid cream
2. Alpha-hydroxy acids (including glycolic acid, lactic acid, and gluconic acid)
3. Benzoyl peroxide
4. Topical antibiotics (gels, lotions, and solutions)
5. Antibiotic pills
6. Birth control (for women)
7. Accutane or Sotret for severe acne (women who choose this treatment must be on some type of birth control)
Aside from medications, keep in mind that a healthy lifestyle can also prevent breakouts, such as: getting plenty of sleep, drinking a lot of water, and eating a balanced, healthy diet.
Also consider cleaning items in your home that may be contain germs, such as: the phone, dirty towels, pillowcases and sheets
Skin Types
What type of skin do I have? There are six categories of skin types:
1. Dry
2. Somewhat dry
3. Normal
4. Somewhat oily
5. Oily
6. Combination.
Skin type, which is determined by the amount of oil secretion, is hereditary. The different areas in the skin that produce oil and the amounts of oil produced are based on genetics.
Some women classify themselves as having sensitive skin. Overexposure to the elements or overuse of products can lead to skin allergies or sensitivities. To avoid this, try to minimize the number of products you use and try to find products designated for sensitive skin whenever possible.
Hyperpigmentation
What are these brown spots on my skin?
Hyperpigmentation comes in many forms, including freckles, melasma, liver spots, sun spots, acne scars or wounds. Hyperpigmentation results from too much abnormal melanin (dark brown to black pigment occuring in the hair, skin and iris of the eyes) within the superficial skin cells. The main causes of increased melanin production are acute sunburn and chronic sun exposure. The second most common cause is hormonal change as a result of pregnancy, oral contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy. Another cause of hyperpigmentation is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation that occurs after a wound or blemish heals.
Cleansing
How many times a day should I wash my face?
Cleansing is essential for your skins long-term health, however, cleansing can strip your skins protective oils that act as natural barriers to the elements. Washing your face any more than twice daily can lead to dry, irritated skin. When cleaning your face, use tepid water and a gentle cleanser if you have sensitive skin. If you have oily skin, do not be tempted to wash your face when it gets oily throughout the day. Try using oil blotting papers instead.
Here’s a clear way to cleanse your face:
1. Choose a cleanser that is formulated for your skin type;
2. wash your hands before you cleanse your face; 3. splash your face with warm water (hot water will stimulate and expand facial blood vessels, which can give you a flushed appearance);
4. work the cleanser into a lather, then gently massage it into your skin in a circular motion with your fingertips do not forget your hairline and neck;
5. remove the cleanser by splashing your neck and face with warm water;
6. blot your face with a clean towel (don not rub your face, it could cause irritation);
7. dampen a cotton ball in toner or Witch Hazel;
8. skim over your neck and face to remove any trace of cleanser you might have missed; and
9. apply your favorite moisturizer.
Skin Cancer
What causes skin cancer?
There are three main types of skin cancer:
1. Basal cell carcinoma
2. Squamous cell carcinoma
3. Melanoma
Basal cell and squamous cell cancers make up 95% of all skin cancers and are highly curable when treated early. Melanoma, made up of abnormal skin pigment cells, called melanocytes, is a serious form of skin cancer and causes 75% of all skin cancer deaths. Left untreated, it can spread to other organs and is difficult to control.
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun is the number one cause of skin cancer, and UV light from tanning beds is just as harmful. Exposure to sunlight during the winter months puts you at the same risk as exposure during the summertime.
Excessive and unprotected sun exposure causes basal cell and squamous cell skin cancer, while episodes of severe sunburns, usually before age 18, can later cause melanoma. Other less common causes are repeated X-ray exposure, scars from burns or disease and occupational exposure to certain chemicals.

A Funny Thing Happened
Not long ago, I was riding my bike on a familiar trail near my home. I was deeply engrossed in possible topics for articles downloadable from our Natural Healing Tools web site.
The trail is about 20 miles long. Three to four miles of it run under large power lines towering over the path. Suddenly, it hit me – the topic of my next article. EMF! That buzzing sound overhead was coming from those power lines just above me. No, I couldn’t see the field of energy emanating from the lines, but I sure could sense that I was passing through an area I wasn’t comfortable with. Then, I remembered that I usually picked up my pace a little when I reached this stretch of trail, probably out of a sense of self-preservation.
Trying to not overreact, I remember thinking, “Hey, what you can’t see won’t hurt you…right?” I thought a little longer, then got the hell out’a there!
Over the last several years, I’ve speculated about the numbers of artificial energy sources – sources of EMF, or Electromagnetic Fields – that fill our environment. I, perhaps like you, question just how safe places like the path under the power lines are, despite overt signs of harm. Here’s where I come down on the subject of EMF. Just my opinion, but based on a growing body of hard evidence and many hours of in-depth investigation.
A Little About EMF
As a kid, I remember learning that our Sun, Earth and other bodies naturally radiate electromagnetic energy of varying frequencies and intensities. Perhaps you’ve experienced the low electromagnetic frequencies generated by a lightning storm – you can feel the lightening.
Our sun is a natural source of EMF. We’re told to use sunscreen to protect us from UV radiation. The Northern Lights are actually solar radiation colliding with the gases in the Earth’s atmosphere. Without the protection of the atmosphere we would be bombarded with harmful, much more intense and potentially fatal radiation.
But these are natural sources of electromagnetic radiation and there’s only so much we can do about them. What about the new forms of artificially generated radiation? Modern technology has introduced countless new sources of electromagnetic radiation.
Some estimates suggest that humankind today is subjected to 100 to 200 million times more electro-magnetic radiation than our distant ancestors. One hundred to 200 million times more! How can that possibly be good for us? The sources? Those power lines I mentioned earlier, but also computers, TV’s, radio towers, cell phones and microwave ovens, to name just a few.
One recognized authority on the subject of EMF, Robert O. Becker, states in his book “Cross Currents” (pg.188), “We have now almost reached a state in which the entire electromagnetic spectrum has been filled up with man-made frequencies. Our electric-power systems oscillates (operates) at 50 or 60 times per second (50 – 60 Hz), just above the highest naturally occurring frequency of 30 Hz. Our microwave beams operate at billions of times per second and are getting even closer to the trillion-cycle frequencies of visible light. We have filled the previously empty electromagnetic spectrum between these two extremes with man-made radiation that never existed before on Earth. And we did it in less than eighty years.”
Here’s the problem.
We’re the guinea pigs! In a sense, we have been silently recruited to participate in some ongoing experiment that will impact us long-term in ways we can only imagine. Only through the outspoken concern of people and groups has the issue of what many call “electropollution” been brought to the forefront.
According to Becker, there is a growing body of scientific evidence showing that exposure to man-made electromagnetic fields results in significant abnormalities in the physiology and function of living organisms. The potential risks to human health, he says, are well documented.
In his book “The Body Electric” (pg.327), Becker states, “Three dangers of EMF overshadow all others. The first has been conclusively proven: ELF, electromagnetic fields vibrating at about 30 to 100 hz, even if they are weaker than the earth’s field, interfere with the cues that keep our biological cycles properly timed; chronic stress and impaired disease resistance result. Second, the available evidence strongly suggests that regulation of cellular growth processes is impaired by electropollution, increasing cancer rates and producing serious reproductive problems. Electromagnetic weapons constitute a third class of hazards culminating in climactic manipulation from a sorcerer’s-apprentice level of ignorance.”
So, what are the implications?
Let’s look at what’s known. All of those electrical devices with which we surround ourselves – office machines, computers and other devices that get plugged into a wall socket – all operate at a frequency of 60Hz. The huge power lines that cover over 500,000 miles across the United States operate at 60Hz. Studies show that these 60 Hz frequencies (ELF, extremely low frequency) have damaging effects on all life forms of life. These frequencies are suspected of contributing to or even causing depression, suicides, psychosis, cancer, leukemia and a number of other physical and mental problems. Scientific evidence also indicate these frequencies can influence our genetic material during cell division, possibly linking chronic exposure to the origins of cancer (Becker, above).
Then there are those devices that operate at the other end of the electromagnetic spectrum, like our cell phones. Cell phones use microwaves that oscillate at billions of times per second. What are the long-term effects of using devices that operate at billions of time per second? We simply don’t know. This is an area that is much less understood.
What can we do to protect ourselves?
Here’s what I do and don’t do. Again, this is what I think and believe based on compelling scientific evidence and hundreds of hours of investigation. Follow your conscience.
• Don’t position your electric clock radio in close proximity to your head.
• Minimize all electrical devices in your bedroom.
• If you sleep with an electric blanket, turn it on before you get in bed and unplug it when you get in. Never keep it on while sleeping.
• Avoid waterbed heaters.
• Sit at least arms length away from your computer.
• Stay back from appliances when running – microwave, electric range, all of them.
• The larger your TV screen the further back you should sit (a readily available hand held meter will test EMF and help you determine how far back you should be).
• Stay at least ½ miles away from TV or radio towers.
• Avoid long conversations on cell phones and always wear an earpiece (above 2 minutes has shown alterations in electrical activity of the brain for at least 1 hr. after use.)
• Don’t wear your cell phone on your belt or in a pocket while it is on (you are still absorbing radiation)
• Use a landline instead of your cell phone whenever possible.
• Limit your time spent under fluorescent lights (they produce much different magnetic fields compared with incandescent bulbs.
• Before you buy a home have it tested for high levels of EMF.
• Consider proper grounding of household wiring.
• Use protective devices that have been tested in areas where there is increased EMF exposure (workplace, home, vehicle).
In the meantime ………
We’re just now beginning to understand how electromagnetic fields affect living organisms. More hard knowledge and wider awareness are needed to help us make wise choices and ensure a safe future of the generations to come. We continue to see newer advances in technology that outpace the research being done to warn us of potential dangers. Most people continue to enjoy the comforts of these new technologies but never think about the consequences of using them.
The choice to use or not use these new devices and how often or long to use them is an individual one. I’m unwilling to let the never-ending new sources of EMF work their way into my home, my car, my clothing and my work area without questioning and limiting my exposure to them. For my money, no exposure and very limited exposure is the way to go. Until there are uniform guidelines based on hard scientific evidence about how much and how long are safe for each type of device, I choose to do without or do with less.
It’s time we stop letting ourselves be guinea pigs. It’s time we start insisting that those elected or appointed to protect us do their job. It’s time to find out what is and isn’t happening to us after hours, days, weeks, months and years of exposure.

Geopathic Stress
What is it and what to do about it
Perhaps one for the biggest hidden dangers today is Geopathic Stress. Unable to see it, taste it, smell it, feel it or hear it, it surrounds us all. Geopathic stress itself comes in two primary types, natural and unnatural. It is basically the energetic fields that are emanated from various sources.
Natural forms of EMF include lay lines, underwater sources, energy vortex’s and negative Feng Shui lines. These have always been around us and recognized by many cultures, in particular the chinese and the celts. Dowsing has been the most common way to identify these energy fields and has been used around the world in various forms for many centuries.
There have been many studies carried out linking these natural geopathic stress fields to illness, and in particular cancer. People who developed cancer had their home checked and it was discovered that dowsers could pick up negative energy fields in areas they spent large amounts of time, often through the bed. Research was then conducted on who had previously lived there and it was found that there was a very high incidence of previous occupants dying from cancer.
Its not just cancer but a whole range of illnesses and problems that have been linked to geopathic stress, (ME, depression, insomnia, headaches, back pain, stress and many more). However the past hundred years we have seen a rise in the geopathic stress due to the large amounts of electrical equipment now used. It is estimated that the ambient EMF pollution has increased over 200 million times in the past century, and this level increases to over 1 billion times in city centre’s. An experiment with bumble bees showed them going crazy and attacking each other when exposed to high EMF fields, a rather scary similarity to our own culture in many ways.
I ask men ‘would they put their testicles in a microwave?’, and the answer is of course no. I then ask if they carry a cell phone in their trouser pocket, to which the answer is usually yes. What is the difference? Well essentially the time it takes them to cook. This is a little to close to the truth for comfort. Cell phones emit frequencies in the micro wave range, so do microwaves, hence the name. Now agreed a microwave has a lot higher radiation level but thermal image scans on the brain have showed that it too heats up when using a mobile phone. In fact 2 minutes needs an hour for the affects to fully reduce. Think about that. It means that many people are literally ‘hot headed’ the whole day!
Now I know cell phones get a lot of bad press, and perhaps a little unfairly when you consider how bad cordless phones are, and worse still hairdryers. The fact of the matter is every electrical device gives off something. So take an average office worker. First they make their toast, in a toaster. Not too bad if they are not standing too close. However then they drive to work, in a car. Cars generate huge levels of EMF’s due to the metals in the tyres, moving engine parts, air conditioning, radios etc. This is the all contained in a metal cage insulated from the ground allowing it to build up. It’s no wonder so many people become stressed and fatigued driving. Then they arrive at work, sit in front of a computer, emitting radiation, under fluorescent lights, emitting radiation, take a cell phone call, emitting radiation and on and on. They finally drive home, in their car, and then sit in front of their TV, emitting radiation, eating their radiated food from their microwave. And that’s only a brief look.
You can use EFT and other Energy Psychology methods to clear some of the disruptions to your system caused by EMFs. Headaches from fluorescent lighting is a great example This though will though, in my opinion, need to be done on a frequent basis and the system keeps becoming re-disrupted. It is also impossible to beware of everything affecting you all the time. We need a more long term solution. to be more practical.
I don’t want to paint a picture of doom and gloom and get you even more depressed, however a little awareness could go a long way. It is obviously impractical to give up this way of life for most people, so what to do? Protection in the key. Minimize exposure where possible, i.e. use a normal wired in phone when possible, walk don’t drive when possible etc. For the rest of life I cannot recommend BioPro highly enough. There are now many EMF neutralizers out their but none as well tested as BioPro. Mobile phone shields do not work, they cannot work or neither would the phone. However the fields can be harmonized so they no longer affect the body. On their website BioPro have thermal scan evidence of mobile phone heating the brain, then not heating the brain with the use of a BioPro harmonizing chip. There is plenty of more evidence and research on the site too for a range of products. Don’t delay, act today. EMF’s are not going to fix themselves.

We take the incredible technological advances that have been made in the past 50 years for granted. Technology that was once a distant dream is now a part of the fiber and fabric of our culture. A typical American home is equipped with microwaves, cell phones, cordless phones, PDAs, computers, and a wide assortment of technological gadgetry designed to make life easier.
However, what price are we paying for these advances and, more importantly, what price are our children paying for living in a world filled with these energy emitting devices?
In spite of the occasional debate on safety, most of us have come to regard cellular phones as fairly harmless. After all, if cell phones were in any way hazardous to our health, we would know about it. The sheer accessibility allays any potential fears about their use. Cigarettes are also widely available but we now know without question that not only are they harmful to the user but to those around the user as well. However, widespread tobacco use went on for hundreds of years before the connection between it and the fatalities it causes was made. Until then, the vast majority of people didn’t consider cigarettes, pipes, or any other form of tobacco use hazardous. Are we guilty of being lulled into a similarly false sense of security about cell phones?
The answer is an emphatic and resounding “Yes.”
Before you dismiss that as an alarmist cry of an anti-technology fringe of society, let’s take a closer look. Estimates indicate that we are exposed to 100 million times more radiation per day than in our grandparents’ generation. Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) are low levels of radiation which are generated by electronic devices. Initial concerns about radiation were dismissed because of low level of exposure. We learned to live with microwaves because our homes were not filled with other devices. Yet, what is the risk now, when our homes are filled with electronic devices, our cars are powered by micro-computers, we are surrounded by power lines and cell towers, and we spend hours a day with a portable phone held to our ear?
Cellular phones generate a field known as Radio Frequency Radiation (RF). A number of studies have concluded that RF from mobile phones poses significant health risk to users, including headaches, memory loss, autism, brain cancers, leukemia and learning disorders. The Committee on Electromagnetic Energy/Public Health Issues stated in an Australian Government Discussion paper that : “Human exposure of radio frequency radiation is greatest from mobile phone handsets because of the method of use, with the transmitting antenna of the mobile phone handset close to the head. There is evidence that localized hot spots or energy deposition in the brain may occur as a consequence of internal reflections.” In another study conducted by leading neurosurgeon, Dr. Leif Salford and colleagues at Lund University in Sweden the data indicated an “unambiguous link between microwave radiation emitted by GSM mobile phones (the most common type worldwide) and brain damage in rats.” There are hundreds of studies with correlative data indicating that this is far more than an anti-establishment ploy concocted by paranoid believers who fear technology and little green men.
Just as the information on the dangers of tobacco was hidden in plain sight, one need only scratch beneath the surface to find warnings about cell phone use. Scientists have warned parents to exercise caution in providing cell phones to children younger than eight years of age as there is little known about the effect of radiation on developing brains. Paul Brodeur, a noted science journalist, was one of the first in the medical community to issue a public alert about the dangers of EMF. Brodeur warned that introducing your body to new forces such as EMF created a condition known as “adaptation stress.” In this condition the body is sent into chaos as it tries to adapt to the new forces. Brodeur identified symptoms such as fatigue, confusion, lack of concentration and focus, headaches, backaches and increased emotional volatility. Is it a coincidence that many of these symptoms which we have come to associate with and label as learning disorders in children have increased dramatically over the past decade?
In another study, conducted by the Spanish Neuro Diagnostic Research Institute, it was found that a cell phone call lasting only two minutes not only opens the blood-brain barrier (in children and adults) allowing toxins into the blood stream which can attack brain cells, but in children that same two minute exposure could disrupt the natural electrical activity of their brain for up to an hour following the call. So alarming was the data that Dr. Gerald Hyland, mobile phone adviser to the British Government, was quoted as saying “If I were a parent I would now be extremely wary about allowing my children to use a mobile even for a very short period. My advice would be to avoid mobiles.”
The cell phone industry is targeting the very profitable children’s market. Cell phone makers are marketing “Disney phones” and kid-friendly versions with parental controls. The industry is no longer content to have the adult and teen market, but in nationwide back-to-school campaigns, they aggressively market to tweens and younger.
We may not have all of the answers today, but the information we do have is alarming. How much more evidence do we need before we take the dangers to our children seriously?
