would a change of coat color from dark to white really be an advantage to an animal such as a snowshoe hare? Explain.

The tendency toward white in the arctic and sub arctic seems to be more related to prey and predator than to heat. Notice that almost all animals living in cold climates are warm blooded and if they have enough food can maintain their heat. But most prey are white in the snowy season and some of the predators also are white, or pale colored. Both benefit by being camouflaged, prey to hide, and predators by sneaking closer before the attack.
The benefit of "cheaper " heat is overweighed by the danger of being hunted or hunting poorly.

ok i was watching the news and i saw that talking on a cell phone could cause brain cancer, and that you should use bluetoothor a headset when on the phone.is this true, is this gonna stop you from talking on the cell phone please help

It will not stop me from using my cell phone. Recently, I saw an article that stated Smoking is less dangerous than talking on a cell phone. Oddly, the next day, that article was on the news and they considered it insane.

Cell phones HAVE NOT been proven to cause brain cancer, tumors, etc. Some cell phones are less likely to cause cancer compared to others (if it was even possible). All phones are given a SAR rating by the FCC. The lower the SAR rating, the safer the phone. All of Verizon’s phones have a SAR rating of 2.5 or lower, which is excellent. AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s have a SAR rating of 5 or less, which isn’t the best. It is simply because the frequencies they use.

DESPITE recent YouTube videos and internet videos, cell phones cannot pop popcorn as shown in many videos. They were completely set up.

Bluetooths also use radio frequencies as well, so they can be as harmful as cell phones, if it is possible for either of them to be harmful. A bluetooth headset does emit less radiation than a normal cell phone.

IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF HARM FROM USING A CELL PHONE, FOLLOW A FEW SIMPLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:

1. USE A HOLSTER. DO NOT KEEP YOUR PHONE IN YOUR POCKET, SINCE IT IS RELEASING RADIATION WHILE IT IS TURNED ON.

2. HOLD THE PHONE ABOUT 1-2 INCHES FROM YOUR EAR. CELL PHONES EMIT A CERTAIN KIND OF RADIO FREQUENCY/RADIATION THAT GETS WEAKER WITH JUST A LITTLE BIT OF DISTANCE.

3. USE A BLUETOOTH, OR IF POSSIBLE A CORDED HEADSET.

4. ELIMINATE CELL PHONE EXPOSURE COMPLETELY.

Hope this helped.

Every night I plug my charger into my phone and keep my phone under my pillow in case anyone calls. My friend told me that this could cause brain cancer…is it true?

Nope, you shoudnt get any form of cancer from your cell phone at all. The only ones effected by cell phones is bees. Tones of bees have been killed and are still being killed doe to cell phones and radio transmiters. You should definatly keep it somewhere neer your bed but I dont recomend under your pillow. The cord from the cell phone charger can get rapped around your neck at night. So I would rather be on the safe side and just put it somewhere else.

I send quite a lot of texts and someone has told me that the radiation from sending the text can harm you. Im just not sure if its true and if it is, is the radiation strong enough to penetrate your skin and do harm to your body.

There have been studies that show that radiation can indeed do harm, and even increase your risk of brain cancer (along with harm a lot of other organs).

A mobile phone company is setting up a transmission tower next to our workplace. We would like to know what metal/material sheet and its thickness that would be effective to block out the direct microware n electromagnetic radiation from that tower. The tower is within 12meter from our workplace.

OK, let me see… You could do it the cheap and effective way… That is the radiation needs to not get through, yet you need to have alight pass through. As long as the screen is less then a tenth of a wavelength at the frequencies in question, then the answer is to use aluminum mosquito screening as is used on windows. Faraday Cage, you see.
The save max will be 10 mw per cetimeter 2rd.
Simple eh..

In most men, prostate cancer grows very slowly and most men will never know they have the condition. Prostate cancer can be deadly but can be cured if it’s caught early enough or it may take a lifetime to run its course. The prostate gland is located directly beneath the bladder and in front of the rectum.

At an advanced age, the risks of surgery for prostate cancer or other more radical treatments may actually be worse than the disease. Men have traditionally been less likely to seek medical attention than women, especially for minor problems which often serve as warning signs for more serious underlying illness. Prostate cancer is characterized by ‘grade’ and ’stage’; grade is given to indicate how quickly a cancer is growing – the higher the grade, the more likely it is that the cancer will grow and spread rapidly and the size and extent of the tumor will determine its stage.

Most prostate cancer symptoms, although associated with prostate cancer, are more likely to be connected to non-cancerous conditions. There may be other symptoms not mentioned here. There are several symptoms you should be aware of.

Additional symptoms that may be associated with this disease are bone pain or tenderness, and abdominal pain. Some men will experience symptoms that might indicate the presence of prostate cancer. Blood in the urine or semen and frequent pain or stiffness in the lower back, hips, or upper thighs are often symptoms of cancer.

A chest x-ray may be done to see if there’s a spread of cancer. Urine or prostatic fluid cytology may reveal unusual cells. Your doctor may use either one or two of the most common tests for prostate cancer detection.

A urinalysis may indicate if there is blood in the urine. A PSA test with a high level can also be from a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. A bone scan can indicate whether the cancer has spread or not.

Side effects of chemotherapy drugs depend on which ones you’re taking and how often and how long they’re taken. Radiation therapy to the prostate gland is either external or internal, both of which use high-energy rays to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Medicines can be used to adjust the levels of testosterone; called hormonal manipulation.

The conventional treatment of prostate cancer is often controversial. Impotence is a potential complication after the prostatectomy or after radiation therapy. Surgery is usually only recommended after thorough evaluation and discussion of all available treatment options.

Recent improvements in surgical procedures have made complications occur less often. Anyone considering surgery should be aware of the benefits, risks and the extent of the procedure. Chemotherapy medications are often used to treat prostate cancers that are resistant to hormonal treatments.

Radiation therapy is used primarily to treat prostate cancers classified as stages A, B, or C. If chemotherapy is decided upon after the first round of chemotherapy, most men receive further doses on an outpatient basis at a clinic or physician’s office. The approaches to treatment include: ever watchful waiting to see whether the cancer is growing slowly and not causing any symptoms.

Treatment options can vary based on the stage of the tumor. An oncology specialist will usually recommend treating with a single drug or a combination of drugs.

The outcome of prostate cancer varies greatly; mostly because the disease is found in older men who may have a variety of other complicating diseases or conditions, such as cardiac or respiratory disease, or disabilities that immobilize or greatly decrease their activities. Because prostate cancer is a slow-growing disease, many men with this disease will die from other causes before they die from prostate cancer. It’s important to get as informed as possible and read all the newest books, ebooks and research available.
